After the incident, Pol. Col. Chairachkit Chaipatiwat, Superintendent of Phan Thong Police Station, inspected the scene with the local government and found that the collapsed building belonged to an electronics manufacturing company. The collapsed part was a wall extension protruding from the second floor of the building. Initially, one employee sustained minor injuries and seven cars were damaged.An inspection found that the building wall where the incident occurred was built 2 years ago. The cause is currently under investigation.
